Description: This report describes the collaborative 2022/23 wetland inventory project work delivered to the Alberta Oil Sands Monitoring Program by the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute and Ducks Unlimited Canada. It summarizes a newly developed ground-based field protocol for supporting wetland mapping, and the results and evaluation of a remote sensing and machine learning-based wetland inventory for a pilot area within the Oil Sands region of NE Alberta.
