Description: This report is a preliminary assessment of the status of environmental health for the Kakwa River Project Area managed by ARC Resources Ltd. ABMI data is used to describe baseline conditions for several ecological indicators such as biodiversity intactness, human footprint, interior native habitat, and species of conservation concern. We also highlight the effect of energy footprint on species. The results in this report can be used to evaluate whether regional management activities are meeting their goal of maintaining species and support future operational planning and resource management decisions.
