Native bee communities vary across three prairie ecoregions due to land use, climate, sampling method and bee life history traits

Published: Jun 1, 2020
Description: Results of a two year survey of native bee communities across the agricultural zone of Alberta that compares bee communities between canola fields and rangelands across three ecological regions. This study is one of the first to sample bees at this broad spatial scale within the Canadian Prairies and presents information on patterns in the number of bees and species of bees in response to ecological and habitat differences.
