The ABMI created a simplified GIS polygon layer to describe general soil characteristics throughout the Grassland, Parkland and Dry Mixedwood regions of Alberta.
The ABMI uses a variety of soil layers to support species relative abundance modelling results. These datasets are available here.
Climate layers, such as temperature and precipitation datasets, are used by the ABMI to model variation in species abundance. These layers are available for download here.
Covering the entire province, this dataset contains georeferenced orthophoto maps consisting of aerial photography mainly from 1949 to 1951.
