The Status of Biodiversity in the Upper Peace Region: Preliminary Assessment

Published: June 23, 2015
Author: ABMI

This report is a summary of the status of biodiversity in the Upper Peace Region, one of seven land-use planning regions in Alberta. It describes the status of human footprint and species with a spotlight on the White Area in the Peace River Parkland Natural Subregion - some of Canada's northern-most agricultural land. The biodiversity indicators set out in this report establish current conditions which can be used to measure the sustainability of resource development in the Upper Peace Region.
