Business Relationship Manager
Michelle has over 20 years of experience promoting research and innovation in Alberta during her career with InnoTech Alberta (formerly Alberta Innovates – Technology Futures (AITF) and Alberta Research Council). As the Business Relationship Manager for Applied Research, her mandate is to identify new business opportunities and foster collaboration across disciplines and sectors. She is also the InnoTech Alberta liaison for Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA). Her career has also included Portfolio Manager for Ecosystem Management, Program Lead for Ecological Conservation and Research Project Manager with InnoTech Alberta.
A practicing research statistician, Michelle has focused on research in the areas of ecosystem management, agriculture, forestry, oil and gas, toxicology, as well as animal and human health. Michelle holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Statistics and Applied Probability from the University of Alberta and is a member of the Statistical Society of Canada and the American Statistical Association.
Michelle lives in Sherwood Park, Alberta with her husband and two children.
