Working with Albertans, the ABMI provides objective, scientific information about our province’s biodiversity and human land use to support long-term management of the province’s land and natural resources.
We see Alberta’s landowners and lease holders as essential partners in biodiversity monitoring. With your cooperation, the ABMI is able to monitor and report on the status and trends of Alberta’s species, habitats and human footprint.
Alberta’s landowners support the ABMI’s mission to:
- Create a legacy of biodiversity information that will benefit future generations
- Collect unbiased, objective data from across the province
- Make information accessible to Albertans in order to make educated decisions.
- Maintain open, honest and lasting relationships
